Make a Difference!
What We Do
We assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in their mission to conserve, protect, and enhance fish,
wildlife, plants, and their habitats. We raise money through our activities, sponsorships, and
donations to financially support programs at the refuges that funding may not be
available from the refuges' budget.
Where We Work
The Friends support and assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Lacombe, La. Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges Complex Visitor Center with staffing, environmental
education programs, and special events. We also participate in refuge events at
many of their southeast Louisiana refuges.
